Yeah for the 1.4 its only a 10hp gain, on the custom code web site they dont even list the 1.2

Remaps CAN improve drivability (to an extent), but bang for buck wise aren't really worth it on naturally aspirated cars. That' my 2 pence.

What ways are there of making a 1.2 abit more nippy?

noz..
race slower cars.

i'm sure a decent air setup and exhaust would make a slight difference.
it'd feel a bit more responsive, but i don't think you'll be gaining many horses with it.

OR you could turbo it?

I'll email NASA and see if they have any rockets knocking about for the old 1.2!

Things like induction kits and that? Cheers

Mmm...even with an induction kit, a 1.2 9n will get walked all over by a 1.0l mk3 polo.

They won't really offer more than 2 BHP, and that's being optimistic.

i wouldn't bother mate.

to get it to gain anything your looking at big bucks, and it'd be easier to save up a bit and upgrade to a faster car.

you could allways try the air system and exhausts though. you might notice it a little bit.

Just carrying on from what K.I.T.T. said, Has anyone fitted a different box? Like the 1.9tdi box?

Also, has anyone got any 0-60 vids of a remapped 1.4tdi?

I have remapped plenty smaller than 1.2 ... and there is always a good difference.... ex 5bhp on a 50bhp car is 10% more... that is noticeable...

I've done loads of fiat cinquecentos.... if you race a standard v chipped the chipped leaves the standard easily....

Just my "unbiased" thought...lol

And for the 1.9tdi and 1.4tdi peeps.. you know I do a good remap on any of these for just £195.. if you come to me ...

Cheers J
