Thinking about De-Locking my Polo Sport and was wondering what would happen if the remote failed. I know I could go through the boot but as soon as it’s opened the alarm goes off.
Is there a way to de-activate the alarm and release the dead lock?

Tested it today and the alarm goes off as soon as I open the boot (without de-activating the alarm from the fob).
Does anyone know what would happen if I un-locked the boot and climbed through into the car and tried to start the engine? I want to try it but I think I'll get some funny looks if I do it outside my accommodation lol. I mite try it when I go home for Christmas though.
I really want to do this mod but I don't want to get caught out with one of the batteries dying as I spend a lot of time away from home.

Re: De-Locking
Now I’m back at home for the Xmas I decide to see what happened if I went go through the boot.
Well, I opened the boot (alarm started to go off), claimed through and tried to start the engine…
Bingo the engine started, the alarm stopped and the deadlock was released.
De-locking is now under way…
