vagparts.com

Post by dweebs »

Hey all

Just wondering if anyone knows what's happening with vagparts.com ? I've emailed them twice and been calling them like 10 times a day but i'm met with a dodgy sort of "engaged" tone which i even get if i try and call after hours !

Cheers

i'm sorry to say they've ceased trading, according to someone on my local site. The current euro sterling exchange rate has made the business of importing parts too expensive.

Very bad news if they can't come back in the future, they were always very good with my orders and ran a great section on this site in the past

Hmmmmm I certainly hope they havent ! Otherwise I'm gonna have to order my parts from VW direct !!

I spoke to someone from VWspeed.co.uk today who said that Vagparts website was just going through some technical problems but I guess that wouldn't explain why the phone number is out of order ??

Taken from another forum. Its a shame as they have been so helpful over the years!
The Euro exchange rate has fallen so fast and so rapid with no sign of a recovery that our company accountant advised us that we will not be able to trade anymore after next Monday. It is a very very very sad day for us. We have been strong for many years winning many awards but the worlds problems and the very bad exchange rate with the Euro has meant that from Monday this week we were advised not to take anymore orders. We have been told to process any orders we have here now and send them out because from Monday, the company will be closed.

It is indeed extremely sad here, we all have very heavy hearts, especially at this time of the year thank you very much for your support over the years, it has been my honour to help you, always enjoyable and I am extremely sad to have to say, the end is Monday.

That really does suck, I've bought a fair bit from them, and they're service was second to none...
