Silly Headunit Question - (Complete idiot alert)

Post by sega_boy »

Basicially, my 6n, just got my Kenwood headunit, bunged it in, and forgot to check which way the wires should be set-up so that the units memory remains (eg, saving settings etc).

I know it doesnt save settings whatever way it is now, anyone know for 100% definate what way a Kenwood headunit should have the wires run to it in a VW Polo 6n?

red to red yellow to yellow / red to yellow red to yellow / red to red only etc.

Dont wanna blow my headunit. Thanks folks!

Just swap the red & yellow wires over, you won't blow the unit!! Both are live, one is permanent live (for memory) & other is a switched live (off ignition). :)
