it just pulls up, it sits on four cone shaped pegs, just don't pull too hard coz there is a small pipe connected to to

If I may be bold! Maybe you meant to say pull it up hard, one corner at a time, but don't try to remove it from the engine completely before you locate and remove the little pipe that you will find near the front on the RHS. I'd try to remove that pipe first before heaving the air cleaner up.
