Cheers mate, that will save me a load of time. Will I have to re-code the stereo if I disconnect the battery?Tim_GTi wrote:Nope, you dont have to!A3Stan wrote:Hi, just looking at the link on the xenon lights. My wife has a 6N2 GTI and I need to change a side light bulb. I phoned VW and they claimed I needed to take the whole headlamp assembly out which is a bumper off job! I've done this job on my A3 and I really don't wanna do it again! Can anyone help and confirm whether this is true or a job that can be done in situe?
Cheers in advance for any info
Stan

They don't do the ones we've got any more Alex! Shame, as one of mine has gone slightly off in colour.

Re: Gti xenon bulb
How much were those bulbs posted in the end matey, they look super, Would any problems come from running that tho in standard lights??? x
Re: Gti xenon bulb
£27.99 including postage, bought them of eBay. I didnt really wanna pay £80 for bulbs and i dont think the cheaper option is that bad. I've had not problems so far at all. Heres a link to the bulbs:Trottagti wrote:How much were those bulbs posted in the end matey, they look super, Would any problems come from running that tho in standard lights??? x

Re: Gti xenon bulb
Cheers buddy il prob go for them and try em out if nothing comes across bad like the ballast not holding up cos its alot more power goin thru em init?
Re: Gti xenon bulb
Mine have been running good since i have bought them no problems what-so-ever. Im sure the ballast will be able to handle them, because if they can't im sure i would have experienced some sort of problem by now.
