1.4 TDI-Turbo Loss?!

Hey everyone!

As you can guess a couple times over the past month and a bit I have lost the turbo in my car, I went to my local VAG shop and they couldn't find any fault on the ECU for it! First it happened, I was just driving along and noticed no boost and it was struggling to get past 2k revs, so I turned the engine off then on again and hey presto it was back! 2nd time it happened it was when I driving and all of a sudden it went? Then I did the same with the engine again and it came back.

I remember a thread on this a while back but can't find it?

Anyone have any idea what is happening to my wee car

i had to for quite a bit a while back (was my thread)
scary when it first happens init lol.
anyway, i haven't found the fault but i think it's going into limp mode due to a dodgy boost tube or something like that.
i need to get mine checked for fault codes.

have you had yours re-mapped?

Yeah, he's had it remapped pip. Sound's like limp mode to me, or possibly a faulty MAF. Does he problem disappear if you turn of the ignition for a while and turn it back on?

mine did it again today. its limp mode as when you switch ofdf n back on it ok. :s lol

mine only happens on the 1 road at the same time. when i leave work, engine cold and doing about 40mph, when i relese accelerator pedal limp kicks in. sucks bit time.

mine done it and it was a dodgy boost hose i now have a boost controller on mine and im working my way thro changing all the boost pipes to silicone hoses rather than the crappy vw stuff
