brad moles polo mk7 progress

Post by brad mole »

Well i have finally got my car how i want it, more or less anyway, and i thought id post up a thread on it from the start, i havent posted many pics up of my car because i wanted to keep them all for this thread, so here it goes...

the car as standard when i got it
Image
Image
Image
Image

first mod was an ammo aeriel
Image

then i got my pressed plates
Image

and xenon sidelights, then had a little photoshoot
Image
Image
Image
Image
Image

next up were these audi TT alloys, polished up
Image
Image
lol, tractor
Image

desperately needed lowered, so i took them off and sold them until i got some coilovers
gapage
Image

so after a few months i got a few other mods including HIDs, cubby box and probably some other little bits and bobs, but then i seen some VW bora wheels come up on ebay and couldnt resist, could just picture them on the car looking smart, so i bought them and got myself some new toyo T1R tyres to wrap them in
Image
Image

and on the rims
Image

i put the bora rims on the car and thought they looked really nice, and standard looking, so kept them on until the coilovers were put on a few days later, i got myself some vmaxx coilovers.
Image

before
Image

during
Image
Image

and after coilovers were fitted, just wanted it down nicely while they settled in etc.
Image

rear badges removed
Image

and time for another photoshoot

Image

now for a seat strut brace
Image
Image
Image
Image
Image

i bought these to go on
Image

and now for my favourite mod, i managed to pick this interior up from a fabia VRS special edition, only 1000 were made and each had their edition number printed in, and i got number 381, what a lucky man i am
Image

old vs new

fitted

and the most recent pics of it tonight, sorry for poor pics, i broke my tripod and am looking to buy a new one, will get better pics up then, lowered virtually right down on the coilovers, still not quite as low as i want it, but sits nice and is suprisingly comfortable, and great for gettng over speedbumps, woop. also got the dubway sticker on, well it just wouldnt be complete without would it.

all comments welcome, still got plenty more to come, dont know what i want next, maybe paint the strut brace blue/green

thanks for looking

Awesome progress!

Very jealous about the interior  , it looks lush!
What are the v-maxx coilovers like?
Was it you who fitted the anti-glare HID kit?

Wow, one of the best factory seats I've seen since Rallye Recaros and R32 seats! They're trully awesome. How much did they set you back if you don't mind me asking?

Looks spot on 8)

i really like the vmaxx ones, they dont wind down as much as some others, but even right down they are still very compfy in my opinion, fair enough when you hit a pot hole its bouncy but otherwise its just nice, quite still, but not so much that it 'bounces'
yeah i fitted the anti glare 8000k ones, havent got any pics of them because they are hard to capture in a pic

thanks, yeah im really glad i got the seats, very compfortable, just very cold when you first get in them lol, take a guess? i dont know if they are worth it or not but i was happy to pay that much as i fell in love with them as soon as i seen them

yeah i got the 2 fronts, the rears, and the door cards (but they are s**t), im not sure exctly how low they go, but id estimate about 60-70 easy. what other centre caps fit the bora wheels as these have a bit of laquer peel

I'm not sure, I've never seen them before so don't know the cost! I'd happily pay £400-500 for them,

cheers, what stuff can you reccomend as all the tyre products i have used are shiit, and them tyres are only about a month old, thought they would keep a new black look for longer than that :( saying that i didnt even clean the tyres or wheels, just hosed over them
