Lost power on tdi sport

Post by smithysmoo »

Went out today and thought something was up just didn't feel like I was moving. Rev were going up slowly and mph was only trickling up. No warning lights or anything.

Turned off the car and started again after a mile of so and seemed fine from then...

Any ideas what to check if anything.

It sounds like it was in limp-mode, but if there were no lights on the dash, it's a bit weird.

You should get someone to scan the ECU with VAG-COM to see if there are any fault codes.

Cheers

Yeah I thought it was weird too and its the first time its ever happened. Glad it sorted itself when I turned it off and back on.

Wheres the plug in for a Vag.com scanner my mate bought one to plug into his golf will get him to bring it over when it comes.

Will have a look for it

cheers....

Any other things it could be, it was still revving but just slow to get all the way round the band and the mph going up really slowy.
