Right, you have manual or semi automatic A/C, the control panel on that ebay link is not for Polo "53" - so forget that idea. Just take a look at the "07" also advertised and you will see its the same as your one. To get the fancy digital display and controls, you would need to upgrade the entire system to automatic A/C - that would cost a lot of money but could not be called impossible - just very very expensive!

I looked into changing mine and it started getting into silly money territory, there is more than you think that needs to be changed.

Full climate control also has additional sensors in the cabin. It's not worth the money
