ABS fault code assistance required.

Can anyone give some advice...

My ABS light comes on every now and again... hadnt seen it for a few months, but it came back on yesterday and wont go off.....

Scanned it with VAG-COM and came up with this:

01276 - ABS Hydraulic Pump (V64)

Now its possible that the ABS unit is KAPUT... but is it possible that one of the wheel speed sensors might be giving some weird values, hence the confusion of the ABS control unit?

Or does that error code deffinately mean that the control unit is fuggered?


Got a few other faults with the engine management.... but thats another day lol

id say the pump is on its way, if it was the sensors it would be also on the list of codes and it will say speed sensors left/right so my guess is the abs pump, saying that i think there is on for sale on club polo from a car thats being broken

Have you disconnected the battery at all recently?
