i think it needs a bit of trimming and some glue.
i'm going to do mine today so i'll tell you after if no one has replied lol

I just removed the old rubber pedal and then the new just wrapped around the metal arm. Not sure if I used any araldite or if it fitted tight enough.

I just followed these and did not have a problem, they have been on for over 6 month now with out a problem

You must've had the RHD pedal, or a different one altogether. Maybe a non TT one that looks like them. Lupo or new Polo GTi perhaps?

mine are the R32 ones. the acc pedal isn't a straight fit.
so i'm selling again now £50.
