Nice choice of wheels there! 16's i like and sit nice with me being down 50mm the bounce doesnt bother me i even managed to get a set of 17's on my car but preferred the look of the 16's

I guess its each to their own what wheels etc but there are some nice choices for polo's out there!!!!!

Just had a quote from the local garage for 16'' tyres - £100+. I nearly cried but somehow you gotta pay the price

Got my passenger seat back today, £380 lighter

What type of alloys would you guys recommend?

Change of plan peeps

I think I'll be looking for the Polo Sport alloys seeing the Contur ones are really going to break the bank!!

The it'll be springs!!

Ok, things have gone a step further and I have actually purchased some wheels.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 0383927704

Should be getting them Saturday WOOHOO!!

Next, may lower to 30mm or just go for subtle mods like LED lights throughout and the cubby box and sunglasses holder, just a case of wait and see!

Nice looking alloys there mate. if they are 16's you will need 205/45/16 or 195/45/16 rubber on them to keep the speedo correct :D

Update:

Now fitted my Monty's to the Polo, look awesome. Think the tyres are little too big as there is a bit of rubbing on rear passenger side on a bump in the wheel arch, take a look at it Sunday. Plus, I'll give it a wash and get some pics up when I've got time

The tyres are the original Golf ones so they are a little too big, just need to get some lower profile ones when I have the money! How much would I be looking at per tyre?

Also, fitted my LED bulbs today, quite fiddly and time consuming seeing I had the bumper off and everything! May get some pics up later if I have time

Going back on the lowering side, if I was to drop 30mm, would the shocks just drop as well. Sorry to sound dumb!

Also got a few things in the pipeline:

- Lowering
- Paint caliper & drums red
- Put Monty's back on with 195/45/16 tyres
- Paint black side and bumper strips to same colour as car (Indigo blue)
- Possible fog lights
- iPod adapter

Lastly, do you know where I can get some foglights and springs from cheap?

Cheers, Mike :)

I can get a set of Conti's for £55ish each, Having said that, I'm not entirely sure if they're conti sports. Mate just look around Im sure you can get tyres cheaper.

I've managed to get 4 tyres off eBay for £150 new. Just need to find some where to get them fitted and balanced - local place quoted £60 for fitting and balancing which seems ok.

Now need to find the little extras.
