... the reason i ask is that a couple months ago, i posted on here about a clicking sound coming from near the pedals...
http://www.uk-polos.net/view ... =7&t=41585
anyways, it seems to be getting worse. Rather than hearing it when accelerating quickly, it starting to happen when i accelerate normally, when i take my foot of the accelerator, sometimes when i break and when i push and lift up the clutch.
i'm beginning to think the pedal box needs re-welding. What do you guys think?
Anybody else here experienced this type of sound and anybody had their pedal box re-welded out of warranty?
how can you tell if the pedal box needs welding...

Re: how can you tell if the pedal box needs welding...
The weak weld in the pedal boc is located where the clutch pedal hinges on the box. So any pedal box weld related issues would be signified by a creak in the clutch pedal when pushing down and releasing. this would also be apparent when the engine is turned off.

fair enough... any idea on what the click sound could be?
