What's the deal with this....:?:

Wanting to get my GT TDI remapped but im hearing lots of rumours of cars needing new clutches after the remap

Your clutch will handle the extra power after a remap, it may shorten the clutches life span from lets say 70k to 60k, nothing to be concerned with though.

is dependant on the torque the remap kicks out aswell id say mine is at 306lbs and the standard clutch is rated to 310lbs so shudnt put too much extra strain through it

hey guys, my name is scott and im a new member from melbourne, australia, and i own a pd100 9n3 pogo tdi, beaut little car!!

i have recently just been remapped by Chipped UK- i cant sing their praises loud enough, as my car is really, really alive now. other mods include SEAT intake trumpet and wheel arch mod- fabricated smic shroud and custom dump pipe to come.

i just have a question- my track map has me at roughly 150hp and 240ft/lbs of torque.

for a 9n3, is this going to crush the stock clutch?

cheers guys, answers appreciated.

scott
