lol its an engine paint designed for use at up to 300C 
Ill see what the finish is like tomorrow morning. If its not up to satisfaction, itll come off, and ill shot blast and spray it.

i reckon it will come off after a while, becuase i wanna paint bits n pieces in the bay aswell, anyway keep us informed

I thought it was almost dry, so took it for a spin to help it harden. Bloody stuff has gone all soft, and now has a mark in it grrrr
And on second look, you cant just remove the rocker cover as it needs special sealant for the underside, and the bolts need replacing too, plus it has to be torqued up - too much hassle.
So, im gonna wait for it to harden off, 1200 grit it, and give it another coat and just pray that it works.

Im contemplating stripping it all off and starting again, but its windy outside so that wont help
Ah yes, i forgot to add to my last post, to remove the rocker cover (in this engine its the camshaft carrier) both timing belts have to be removed. Anyone fancy a cambelt change lol?

Right....after some careful repair work, I have managed to get it to a somewhat acceptable standard. It just has to dry now. Take a look!



Got a bit bored the other day lol. This is only a quick fix with primer and red body paint, but im quite impressed at the finish!
