I burnt through my paint when I was polishing this area :(
Gotta repaint it :lol:

Oh geez. i bet the laquet hadn't even hardened! This is a dual action Polisher though, not a rotary. So the chances of the paint burning are next to nothing, they just don't generate enough heat. Just got to be cautious about the amount of paint I strip off as I haven't got a gauge to measure it. VW paint is pretty tough though 8)

Sorry, the one I used was duel action.
I'm using Lotus paint.. should be rubbish but goes like s**t lol

Cheers mate. I used Halfords flexi red plastic paint, grey plastic primer and satin black. And plasti-coat satin laquer.

Yeh mate we may be able to work something out 8)

tim the engine bay looks top same sort of thing im going for with mine, had the paint since christmas just havnt got round to it!

wow, the pics show such an improvement, i didnt even think removing scratches that large was possible without screwing the paint up hard!! good work mate! :)
