Not been around for a while...the reason...i've had a little baby (or my Mrs has!!).
Unfortunately this means i am now on the look out for a bigger, more practical car and the GTI is up for sale.
A little info:
I have owned it since November 2007. I bought it from Guilders VW in Sheffield for £4800 and it came with a 12 month warranty, which i naturally made the most of! It had the following work carried out, all at main dealers:
the timing belt was changed before i purchased it
alloys were refurbished before purchase, still in excellent condition
starter motor replaced (it sounded like it wasnt disengaging properly on start up)
front suspension bushes replaced (they were slightly cracked)
A little general info about the car:

FSH up until i bought it - i have done all servicing myself since then including an oil change and new brake pads all round
4 nearly new Goodyear Eagle F1 tyres (rears just replaced, fronts were done about 6 months ago)
the car is completely standard
in dash VW CD player, along with usual multichanger in the boot
all usual GTI extras, xenons and headlight washers, climate control, electric heated mirrors etc
cloth interior
2 keys
MOT until August
Tax is due next month
the car is in top condition, the only slight problem is there is a small scratch on the rear bumper strip and a small scuff on the actual bumper (i will take some pics and upload these)
