GTi brake rear brake disc size?

Hi,

I'm just getting the bits together for doing a rear brake conversion and was wondering what size the GTi 6n2 rear discs are?

Also I'd welcome some recommendations on what brand to choose.

The rear discs are 226mm I think. Thats what Autocar's road test write up has got listed anyway. I can't get at the VW brochure quickly!

I have stuck to standard OE discs all round but am using black diamond "predator" brake pads.

Hi Si,

That's where I'm getting confused some say the rear discs are 226mm and some say 232mm

I don't know either way as I just bought the set up without the discs.

I've found that EBC list them as 232mm for rear discs and Black Diamond say they are 226mm rear discs

Can anyone shed some light as to which size is correct.

They're 232mm IIRC!

I'm using green stuff pads and drilled and grooved discs, definitely recommend

Its all about the drilled and grooved these days, My black diamonds are 226m
