window switch drivers side?

Ok the passenger window button is busted on the drivers side, so would i need to get a whole unit for the drivers side? or can you get a passenger side button?

The switches are individual in the panel. Just need to pop them out.

ooo, the connectors underneath it? does it matter which way up they go...because i member their being 2 strips of metal?

Im not sure what you mean there?

Theres i *think* 6 pins per switch on a block connector which you just unplug

alex : oh, i get you now lol. i think i went abit too far last time and started taking out the actual switch button that you press.Im guessing any mk5 polo switch will do
?

Dave : yeah it really sucks when you need to open the window for any reason lol

You dont even need to take the door card off to get the switches out

really? how do you pop them out from the top then? will that not damage the door card....... :?

If your really really careful you won't. Just get something underneath the plastic surround and pop it up. Safer to remove the doorcard though.

yeah, easy job mate, just get some thin underneath it and quite strong n carefully prise it out. Like a steel rule or flat bladed screwdriver
