Well the Polo's gone

Post by CymruPolo »

Just sold my GTi today after 3 years of ownership. I was quite gutted to see it being driven away lol. I'd like to say thanks to everyone for their help/advice with variuos stuff since I've been a member on here, the GTi section has been extremely handy to me. Can't see me posting very much on here anymore but I'm sure I'll pop in every now and again :D

I would have loved to keep the Polo, I really would, but it's not realistic unfortunately

The R32 is simply awesome to be honest, I couldn't be happier with it. Fantastic noise! 8) I have plans for it which won't take shape for a couple of months at least now that I'm quite skint after buying it! Haha. It took a while to find a good one (over 2 months!) but I'm glad I waited. It's Only done 36k miles, full leather, miltek exhaust (only back box though I think) and stage 1 remap.

The only thing that's ruining the whole experience for me at the moment is the audio. There's an aftermarket headunit with and amp and sub in the boot. I've turned the sub down cos I'm not keen on them, and it seems the headunit has been wired up incorrectly or something. The main audio seems to be coming out of the tweeters and the background audio seems to be coming out of the main speakers giving it this awful tinny noise. Would that be possible?

They could have wired up the crossover incorrectly? Or is it stock speakers?

Awesome looking car. 8)

Does make me wish I'd waited and bought an R32 instead of the S3.

Cheers Tim.

I wouldn't have a clue what to look for lol. But if you think you can explain I'll show it to a mate of mine who's good with that sort of stuff.

It was a choice between an R32 and an S3 for me also. I went for the R in the end as I thought it was the best all rounder .. plus that V6 noise!
