Post by Nelson_Wilbury »

...be getting a power increase 8) Theres a new engine code listed for each engine.

It could be that they the current ones have been revised for more refinment, but you never know...

Also, new cubby box anyone?

I bet you get it on the Polo Trek/Fun/Highrider or whatever they are going to call it.

Could be very usefull for hiding an amp/wiring... but yeah, a little on the pricey side.

I'm guessing all this is above the spare tire? rasing the level of the boot, any ideas how big it is??

James.

Yup yup - if there's any power increases going around, I want to know about it! Is this a similar thing to v4 revision of the R32 ECU software recently released to iron out flat spots, but in actual fact gives about an extra 10bhp?

Yesterday I went to my dealer for problems with my Polo (as always :( ) and there was a polo SOHO/FUN/etc... there. I looked at it and I didn't find the boot cubby box (not even the cubby box in the dash). Also it DOESN'T have the red dot matrix MFA between the rev and speed counters  So, in the inside, it's a standard Polo with some "kind-of-aluminium" bits...

Any ideas when the 3-cyclinder upgrades would be available or how they will be added?

These aren't 'additions' or electronic updates to the current engines. They are brand new units. New head, pistons etc etc. All the new work is internal, not something you can add like the R32 ECU upgrade.

Don't think the power outputs would change would they? Surely just improving the engine from the original plan fixing all the little problems they've had with it.......i hope.
