broken spring!!!!!!

got the little beast looking the dogs danglies and then it spoke to me last night with a bang!!
sat outside having a well earned bevvi and she spoke - she sit the ball bearings out and snapped the spring.....
take a look!!!!!!!

i have my old set of spring/shocks etc sat in my shed if thats of any use. i was looking at binning them but if you want them let me know.

As far as I can see the dog is being used as a stand, not a jack! These terriors are quite resilient little animals. Smart dog though, staying where its safe as not much seems to be getting done!!

These springs seem to be sort of time bombs, did you see any surface rust at the point of breakage - there was on my wife's Polo spring that broke, if I were you, I'd change both sides and both top mount bearings - and check that there are no broken paint areas on the springs after they are fitted, if so slap some paint on them - these bits are just CZ made Skoda sourced rubbish - and if you don't believe that comment, check up on the labelling on the replacements if you buy them from your VW dealer.

I have just had to change my springs as well after them snapping really badly eg the front drivers side spring was in 4 bits they had only been on the car for 2 years (not standard springs) it was like the spring was sliced at one point in the coil!

Feel for you mate really do!
