eaten by an st170

Post by david burton »

had a bit of a fight with an st170 on the way to work today just for a laugh, wanted to see if my 16v could hold it off for a while (we were 2 up). managed about 200m after pulling on to a private dual carriageway off a private roundabout, after which he ate me up! quite impressed tho.

nice to surprise em with a shopper car

I had a little run in with an ST170 last night, he was on my tail but a car length, he couldn't keep right up.. and when I moved over he couldn't overtake!

When I had my ST, it did about 15MPG lol

- ST170's and ST220 - pah - They won't play with me

- only things that will play are M3's and M5's plus the odd cossie and obliterating them completely is starting to get a bit boring

- scoobies and evo's now they are a different game alltogether - cept I always seem to find them on B roads and they are a bugger to get past on short straights

- I hasten to add I'm not in the Polo for these activities....... 8)

ST 170 Quick out handle most things. Need to rev it lots though.

SR 220 Smooth and very nice V6

M3 and M5 are mental road going rockets
I hasten to add I'm not in the Polo for these activities.......

 Probably....

I would have taken you all on, coming home yesterday, and come out with head held high... mind you that was because traffic was murder for 90% of the 170 mile route :D Various Vectras, Volvos, Mercs, Beamers all trying to pound along as fast as possible, and little me trying every trick in the book to keep exact (average) pace even when it cleared up :) (note - i did do my best to stay safe and not cut anyone up...)

Mind you that is because in this car I tend to measure the "win" or "lose" in terms of 10 mile strips rather than 1/4!

(private dual carriageway?!)
