mainly cause i'm bored but also out of curiosity, whats everyones bhp atm and what mod have you done to get that.

224 bhp and 241 lb/ft

CC Stage 2 - Straight Through Turbo Back Exhaust - PD160 - Jetex Induction - Forge TIP - APR D.V - Forge FMIC

229 BHP With 245 LB/FT

APR stage 2 remap - straight through turbo back milltek system - k&n panel filter - forge TIP - forge FMIC. Thats about all you need to get this sort of power. Evryone has pretty much done exactly the same to gain this sort of power.

KENNYPOLO_GTI - Does your APR dump valve make a noise?

When i first fitted it, it made a weird noise, like a squeeling. So took it back and fitted another one and it done the same, now i dont hear anything?

So whats next for everyone??? Am fed up with what i have, i want more lol!!! Manifold are meant to be quite restrictive are they not!?

KennyPOLO_Gti - ok mate...just that i always wanted one that made a nice sound but oh well....just seing if your apr one was any diffrent to my 007 one.

captainbeyond88 - manifolds are very rare on our cars...i have actually contacted miltek about this and they dont do them....it would be a custom made one if any. But they would be very expensive. These would mainly look cool in my opinion also as well as serving a performance purpose.

Wonder if we could do a a group buy?????

Now i would be up for that!! :lol:

I went for the APR one as it is maintenace free. Just stick on a Jetex Induction Kit if you want it to sound good.

I wonder what sort of gains you would be looking at with a more free flowing manifold. I cant think of an other mods that can be done unless going B.T?

ATPturbo.com do a cast exhaust manifold .... it is MUCH fatter than the original.... but it is a real BALL ACHE to fit ...

If you get one PM me and I'll give you a few pointers so it is easier to put on ;-)

But while you are there with the exhaust manifold off it is a golden opportunity to get the turbo out and sent off for the hybrid work ... hehehe ...

Mond you saying it was a c*** to fit J!

Have been keeping an eye on a few of the SCN guys that have the hybrid K03s and a few of them are having problems with seals going etc and having to get the turbos taken back out and looked at again.

Also noticed on of the guys witha Ibiza fr running 238 bhp and 271 lb/ft with same mods as most of us on here. Only thing different was he is running REVO stg 2 (Timing 6 and Boost 6), whatever that means???? J can you shed some light on that??? :?

i need a rolling road read , i have same as above mods with a more-bhp stg2, and i have advanced the ignition timing 1.5 deg more with max retard at 3 on full chat couldnt advance any higher LOL it feels rapid and i never get bored of the feel and speed ! :D :D :D :D :D

Anyone considered a MK5 GTI engine / transmission transplant? Will it fit in the polo?

If you get the S3 or Anniversary spec engine, it can do 325hp with the standard K04 turbo. No way in hell a 1.8T would make that much with a K04. Plus the MK5's gearbox is LOADS stronger and can handle it, unlike the fragile O2J the Polo is adorned with.

Seriously, 1.8T tuning is cheap-ish to ~ 250hp. Trying to add another 100hp on top of that - and let's face it, 30 - 50hp extra when you have 250 to begin with is not going to blow your skirt up - gets very expensive. Mainly because the 1.8T's conrods and valves are weak. I personally wouldn't push a 1.8T past 300hp without internal upgrades. I know plenty of people do, but they're on borrowed time imo.

I sort of aggree with that marco...but there wont be much keeping up with a properly tuned 250 + bhp polo when your out and about on your daily drives lol :lol:

also... how are you getting on with your apr splitter valve? Heard a few bad stories about them but i have actually always wanted one. What does yours sound like....any diff between that and your 007?
