My 6n

Post by gilbo-6n »

Hi my names matt and haven't been a member long.
Ive owned my polo for about 5months and I love it!
This is it so far:
I am on a budget, so I put new lowering springs on, new 6n2 smoked rear LED lights, bee-sting aerial, clear indicators, new alloys, sony xplod head unit/sub/amp.
Looking to buy sum new seats and goin spray the drums/calipers(they look poo!)
Any suggestions? Thanks. :D

Everyone puts 16v bumpers on but then again it works! You could just rock the 8v bumpers and look for a set of fogs which make it look much better.

As for the plates you can get fully legal ones from Dubmeister direct or through one of their distrubutor partners such as Carnoisseur.

In the meantime you could take off the rear badges

Stick with the 8v bumpers mate, much nicer 8) I'd smoothed the front plate recess out for the best look.

Any chance of you making your pictures smaller? saves having to scroll across the screen.

Dubmeister are the place to go for pressed legal plates. For german styled one I'd get them from eBay (much cheaper).

Nice one cheers.

Just had a look on the bay, the guy I used to buy all my plates from has now changed to legal only plates. A pair will set you back £29.99 plus delivery (same as Dubmeister near enough).

There are still german font pressed plates going for £18.99 plus delivery also. These are illegal however.

There's a few 6n/2's running 1.8T's which you can look at. You'll need a big budget though!

^^ For a home conversion you'll save quite a few £££ but mae sure you do your research. There's nothing worse then doing something wrong so speak to a few guys who have already done the conversion.

Opinion: if you're driving around on that height while having coilovers -> YOU'RE DOING IT WRONG !!!

Sorry to bring it to you like that m8, sometimes it needs to be done cold-turkey. But you can definately go lower, will look much better! Like the red lip on the rims, maybe get like a red stripe around the grill like the GOlf mk5 GTI's 8)
