Brake fluid bottle MAx mark where is it

As the title says on a 1.9 tdi just done the rear discs and pads but can't for the life of me find the max mark on the bottle. Not that the bottle in the easiest place to get to. can some one please tell me where its supposed to be or where the mark is. Cheers

Aren't you just supposed to use the dipstick built into the cap of the reservoir?

Thats on the power sterring fluid not the brake fluid.

I've forgotten what the reservoir looks like in detail, but generally speaking the fluid should be up to the "joint" and maybe a small way up the front end of the sloping "top" - either way I'd expect to see fluid up in the filter screen when you take the top off. VAG does tend to use the "joint" as the middle between the MIN and MAX levels on the reservoirs - just like on the coolant header tank.
