Footwell Neons Wiring

Post by Dan 6N »

Hi guys,
Would appreciate some advice, I've bought some cheap footwell neons which I'd like to come on when the doors are open (so when the interior light is on basically). Could anyone advise me on how to do the wiring for this? I'm hoping they won't look too chavy, they'll be coming straight off if they do but it's worth a try :D
Thanks,
Dan

wire them into the same wiring as your interior light so when the switch is on the right it is constantly off when in the middle it will be on when ya doors open and then left permently on simple :)

its not possible to wire them that way as the interior light circuit has 2 grounds
one permanent and one from the door pins
the easiest way is to wire the red on the lighting to a permanent 12v+ supply and connect the black from the lights to the brown/white at the door pins
