I have used replacement ones from GSF in the past (£35-£40 IIRC) but they were rubbish, kept arching across leads, the replacement plastic holder didn't fit.

I have non-VW ones on mine at the moment but lead 3 is now refusing to stay on for some odd reason....guess time for me to go for some original ones

There is a reason why people usually only sell sets...

If you are running with 3 old worn leads and 1 new one, the engine wont run very smoothly..... The cylinder with the new lead will fire slightly harder than the other three....

Maybe its just personal preferance, but if I replace something I have to do everything in the set... Be it plugs, leads etc...

Yep, as tegwin says it's best to buy them in a set, but if need be VW do sell them seperately.
