**Please Help** Strange noises

I know there have been couple of threads with 'knocking noise' but I am unable to figure this one out.

Well basically got my N/F top mount changed on Tuesday. Since then I have been hearing knocking noise whenever I turn right with a full wheel-lock from the passenger side.

Now I have checked my CV boot for any signs of leakage or tear but all seems well unless the CV joint has failed from the insided. But again the noise wasn't there before the top mounting was changed...

Right well took the car back to the mechanic and he couldn't see anything visibly wrong with the car!!!! He also took it for a drive and could only hear a creaking noise which he couldn't diagnose either......?!?!

So dunno know what could be the problem.....I am bit worried if he has gone and damaged my drive shaft or CV joint while removing the strut?????

Any further checks I could carry out????

Take it to vw and they will diagnose what the problem is might well be the cv joint but doubt it will be if he removed the whole strut as you don't need to touch the cv joint or the drive shaft. Might well be it has failed down to age/ wear and tear.

I changed my suspension for coil overs a few weeks ago and i seem to have a knocking noise when turning the wheel but only on the passenger side... i cant work it out either, just wanted to know what a CV joint is??
