Introducing my GTI
Hi
I'm Peter, 24 years old and I come from Holland. I'm reading this forum for some weeks now, it's time to create an account and show my Polo. Some stunning looking polo's you have over there! Love the clean/smoothed bumpers, you don't see that in Holland often. My first one was a 1.6 8V 6N Milestone. Got it seriously lowered and put on some Brock B5's in 8x14
Some pix:
Sold it.. but had a good reason though!
Bought a 2000 GTI It had a leather interior (factory) and a climatronic. It was fully standard when I bought it. Put on KW coilovers, repainted/refurbished the original BBS wheels, WOB floor mats in dark grey.
I just had to put the windmill in
Last pic @Worthersee 08.
Got a Pioneer AVIC D3 headunit with Ipod, it's perfect, no messing around with cd's and stuff! Kicker 65.2 compo's + 200W sub and 4x60 JBL amp.

Re: Introducing my GTI
But.. the most important: the wheels! The standard BBS were too narrow, it needed something wider. Came across Artec S1's, TH lines, but these were the nicest, i guess. Bought a set of wheels and refurbished them myself. Pix:
They were 8" all around. Thats too wide at the front, so i put a 1.5" lip at the front.
Fitting and checking:
And finished
Still need to lower it a bit at the back and roll the front arches, the rub a bit
Hope you enjoy the pix!

I really liked the yellow with black accents. Sold it to someone from around, but he doesn't take care enough i think. Quite a shame, i do miss my 6N a bit.lolhoward wrote:Liking the GTi. Also love the yellow 6N. One of my fav's i think. Quite plain and yellow!

Re: Introducing my GTI
The filter is behind the left fog light, so it gets cold air directly!
This is the filter before i installed,I polished it myself. Took a bit of time though
Thx!

Re: Introducing my GTI
Both your polos look great.
I love what you have done with the engine bay, I have never seen that done before.
I see you had to move the brake fluid tank to another location. Was that easy? It looks good hidden.
Keep the updates coming
