Just wanted to know what tires people are running atm??
stuck between a few choices
Goodyear eagle F1's
Toyo Proxes
Yoko Prada spec 2

Awsome tyres in the dry.....bit skittish in the wet though.

But really really good.... best tyres i have had deffo!!

i run continental sport contact 3's on my bbs's and goodyear eagle f1 gsd3's on my stock wheels

both absolutely awesome tyres not a bad word to say about either, wet or dry

depending on the size you need, i have 2x continental sport contact 3's for sale in 205x40x17 with 7mm still remaining on them with no punctures or damage to them, make me an offer through pm if interested

I cant understand why people recommend yoko parada spec 2's at all. I had a set on and they were good for no more than 1000 miles thats it. Not only do they wear unbelievably fast they dont make up for it anywhere else, the wet grip is shocking and it only gets worse. Dry grip is ok i suppose. People only buy them for the tread design. The best tyre i have had and i swear by is uniroyals rainsport 2, they are cheapish and they are way better than anything else that includes toyo's, michelin, p-zero's and sportrac 3's.

Suppose you will always have different opinions on tyres....im only giving my comments on what tyres are like on POLO GTI's. I had Conti sport 2s on my 1.8 corsa and they were crap.....but had them on my polo and they were perfect as the chassis is alot better than the vaux....as are my spec 2s on the polo....even though they do get scary in the wet but in all honesty i bought them for the summer time. I personally think they are great but each to there own. what we forget sometimes when we talk about tyres is that evryones driving skills are different....i think we forget this sometimes .

I am running dunlop sports on the gti alloys and they are good but wear down quite quickly, my other set for the winter I am running continental tyres sport contact and they are very grippy and got the best rating in Auto Express last week. Only problem is the noise from them. the dunlops are quieter.
