I dont know who told you, but 7"x15"'s will fit. They might need spacers on the back to clear the rear struts, but it depends on the offset.

What offset are your wheels, they should be ET38 or less.

not sure on the offset at this time but i'll ckeck! i work at halfords and got my work mate who knows his stuff, he phone up to order them and they said they wouldn't fit! still nevermind, i got 3mm spacers on there at the mo and they still rub! wierd! took myself and three others in the car and there was no rubbing anywhere! i'll keep looking :D

karl, wot u mean by SLs? probably me being really dum!

oh right yeah bedding in can really make a difference so i take that back (im so used to seeing mine and thinking she can go lower lol)
the discs are omp drilled and grooved with 4 grooves per disc and 16 drills per disc but with the pads im currently running id prefer solid discs
and tank you for for your post i did see it but if you want make your own post and please add some more pics cos i wanna see more of what hes done but i dont want to hijack this thread (any more)

i nearly forgot about this post, first thing i ever did on here, the mystery of my alloy wheels! back in the day.......
ne way, down to bussiness:

after nearly having the car a year, and the alloys on, several scrubbing sounds later and i have finally found a mark from the scrubbing  shock horror!
i neva thought i would find these n e thing out and would have to put up with it, but now we have a mark, n its not where i thought i would find one!
the only reason we found it was when i was drinking a cup of tea while taking a break from changing the oil, lookin at the rear alloy, and there it was, a mark!

i am so pleased, thats one down, n i don't no how many to go!

Bloody hell. That post has been dug up from the depths! :) I know what you mean about space at the back. Ive got 6x14s with a 45mm offset so they fit under my rear arches but with the current tyres theyre about a credit card's width away from the spring cup at the back. I should be ok once Ive got the proper tyres on though. Theyre about an inch too big at the mo!

another tip to use is to by some bright(ish) paint and spray the inside of your arches. Go for a drive and when you come back the paint will have stripped off where it is scrubbing
