This is a strange one. I cant get anything but cold air out of the heater of my 96 Polo. I have checked the cables and they are moving the control arms on the heater box. I have flushed the matrix which is clear and free flowing and I have checked for any air locks. When the car is running both heater pipes are hot but if you put the fan on full blast one of them cools off. This suggests to me that the hot air is going somewhere else!! Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.

Re: Heater!!!!!
this mind sound odd ( possibly stupid ) but is there a temperature sensor within the heating matrix?
if so could this be causing your problem. ie a faulty one or just busted?
my temp. sensor was playing up and overheating the car,ie it was saying the car was cold hence no fan kicking in and hence overheating, i took it out and now runs fine. just thought maybe the 'temp' sensor withing the matrix might be playing up in same way.
just thought id put my penny in and see if it does anything here.
