I think its 70mm to 51mm? Somewhere in my thread it does mention the exact figures, but it depends on your BMC/Air filter input diameter really. You would have to measure the input from the throttle body to the output on the filter I'd say

Used some contact adhesive called "Tigerseal", it took a while to harden (about 20 minutes of constant pressure on the spoiler) and then overnight with the tape + weights holding it in place. You can get it from any good motor factors, costs £9.99 a tube but you only need to use a small amount and its quite useful. Hope thats helped

Re: Polo96CL's Progress Thread - Updated :)
Thanks! Yea it did help lol, I am going to be putting my gti spoiler on soon
Re: Polo96CL's Progress Thread - Updated :)
Where did you get your rear vw badge from and how did you put it on? Looks really good
Re: Polo96CL's Progress Thread - Updated :)
The rear badge was quite expensive at £25 +delivery, but like you said it does look great. It came with the tape attached when I bought it, but any trim repair tape (duck sell it at halfords) should hold it fine
Re: Polo96CL's Progress Thread - Updated :)
I WANT ONE!! Where can I get it from? ebay maybe.. does look mint though
Re: Polo96CL's Progress Thread - Updated :)
Here you go, only place I could find them other than going directly to VW, and I definately wouldn't want to know the price of one then!

I'm really trying to find some Red GTi seatbelts, unfortuantely they are rarer than hens teeth, and a 3 door set will not find a 5 door. So that narrows it down even more, I emailed a chap on ebay selling them and got the following response:
yes check back next week will blistin all parts on then, as for the price i aint decided yet, if there in decent nick then they defo wont b cheap
thats for sure
Well thats a great way to sell a product isn't it, defo won't be buying them from him. If he's like that about an enquiry, imagine a sale!

Re: Polo96CL's Progress Thread - Updated :)
Glad you got one mate, they do look ace. The thing is, if I was interested in a part, the last thing you would say to your potential buyer would be "it wont be cheap".
I'll find some eventually, its just going to take a loooonnnnggg time. I might just end up getting a normal set which have black with red stitching. Got to love OEM stuff, shame i'll probably leave it in when I get a GTi. Hopefully get one next august, insurance will be cheaper and I will have some spare cash in case the gearbox goes pop!

Re: Polo96CL's Progress Thread - Updated :)
Yer can't wait to get it on the car now
... Exactly you wouldn't say that to a potential customer.. your really going to want to buy from him now
NOT! Don't worry if you keep looking long enough you will find some! You could just get the normal one's but then you might always have that thing in your mind saying, what if I got the other ones
Aww man your getting a GTI!

Re: Polo96CL's Progress Thread - Updated :)
Yeah well the badge will come with the sticky pads attached to the back, just use the hairdryer method to get the current one off (see my bump strips guide in the DIY section). I think what i'll do is get some of the normal ones for now, and then that will keep me satisfied until I see a set of the red ones for sale. Yep hopefully get the Gti around august, unfortuantly being 18 with a year NCB is a bit of a rip off, so if I can get it at 19 then i'll be sorted.
Have you got yourself a progress thread yet?

Re: Polo96CL's Progress Thread - Updated :)
Yer I saw that, that was really useful to get the back badges off as well
Are you getting a 6n2 gti? Uh insurance tell me about it lol!
Nope haven't even thought of a progress thread, will probably start one when I really get things moving, so far I have just got some rear speakers in the parcel shelf, waiting on my mk5 rear's.. really want some gti alloys SO BAD!!!
Don't know whether to de-bump yet, haven't really decided.. Ooo I could do with your opinion actually, you changed your headlight bulbs, did you get an HID kit or just change the stock lightbulbs with xenon one's..
I was thinking of getting these: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... K:MEWAX:IT
^^ What do you thin?

Re: Polo96CL's Progress Thread - Updated :)
Yep going to get a 6n2 GTi, but not until i've done a few little bits to mine first! Yeah I just took things slow, didn't have it lowered for about a year despite being in the "scene". I was a bit worried before I debumpstripped mine, because the car wasn't very modified I thought it might look a bit odd. If I were doing the car again i'd either take them off or colour code them, but then its more hassle (and money!). For the headlights I bought Philips BlueVision Headlights and Prism white LED sidelights. They make an excellent upgrade, but still don't look like a proper xenon kit, but they definately make a good difference. For £10, i'd say save another £5 and get the bluevisions, simply because they are a reputable brand and I know first hand experience that they are good. Hopefully the next mods in the few months are going to be:
Underbonnet insulation - from a 6n 1.9 Diesel I heard.
Pressed plates (ordered)
6N2 Dash Conversion (researching atm)
Retrim all pillars, headlining and boot in black suede (see Tim_GTi's Thread).
