Cool mobile, Pukka. Does Windows Mobile crash? (it's a Windows after all)
BTW,

I received a Nokia 1100 from my mobile operator for this year's contract renewal. Good basic phone but I already have a 3650 so I'm going to sell it (and use the money to pay this month's phone bill, probably). It's the 900/1800MHz model. So if someone needs a basic phone, PM me.

Sorry.

(Looks at Moty MPx)
Holy Bling! If it didn't cost about £500 (last I heard), I'd be all over that like custard at a clowns birthday party.
Hm, megapixelarity.. once camera phones have 2MP, some kind of optical zoom and a decently functioning autofocus & flash, then i'll bite (because then they'll outdo my current digicam - all the above but the autofocus is dodgy)
Whats the skinny on the 1100 Babe? I mean... what's it's specs?
Can't really afford to buy it off you (MAJOR bill from the garage today - they found several MoT-busting things that I was mildly concerned about but didn't inform them of), but this is the first i've heard of it.

Tahrey, it's a very basic phone really, you can get full specs from Nokia UK HERE. I can say it's light (86 g with battery) and sort of standard size these days at 106x46x20 mm. It's got a B&W screen, SMS, SATK etc. but I haven't used it so can't comment on voice quality or RF performance.Tahrey1043 wrote:Whats the skinny on the 1100 Babe? I mean... what's it's specs?

I get one of these base-model Nokia phones every year, last year it was a 2100 and a 3310 the year before that. So it looks like I'm moving down the Nokia food chain (3310, 2100, 1100 geddit?).
Anyway I've got to try and sell it in Europe on eBay or here or somewhere. Operators are giving these things away over here (why would anyone pay for it then?) and they won't work anywhere else in the Americas, which rules out eBay USA and Mercadolibre.com. Brasil is the only country in this continent that uses European GSM frequencies (900/1800MHz) instead of American ones (850/1900), our obsession with being different once again taking precedence over practical matters like roaming in a neighbouring country. As if we could afford travelling to Europe, let alone taking the mobile with us.
Oh well. That's why I've got to sell it in Europe. If anyone's interested please PM me.
Cheers

you can always get a darn good deal if you stay with your supplier and force em to go l o w.
i've been with t-mobile for 6 years, and i get 200 min x-network minutes and 400 texts for 12 quid a month! (they're off peak - 6pm to 7am and anytime at the weekend, but i never use it in the day anyway - i'm at work!)
not too hot with phone makes, but if anyone wants to buy one of the old 8310's then i have one (an oldie but still one of the best around) for sale

get a nokia 6600, it may be slightly big, but the features are amazing and the large screen makes playing games & seeing phone really easy. It allows you to download extra programs and games either through WAP or via bluetooth on your computer. i did some testing of new phones for nokia a few months ago and after speeking to one of the software designer and seeing it in action i went out and brought one.

The 5130 I used to have didn't, but that's such an old phone now...
(wouldn't mind so much, but they were crappy phones particularly chosen because they were cheap and not really worth nicking! all the numbers i hadnt yet written down gone with them, messages etc...)
i would recommend the nokia 6600, I tested some phone for nokia a few months ago and this phone impresses me so much I went out and brought one the next day. While I was testing the phone I spoke to one of the software designer who said it was the best nokia phone avabile and better then most of the new phones that haven't been released. It does everything a nornal nokia does but it uses a diffrent operating system. The large screen makes it ideal for playing games and seeing photos.
