Re: Tim's GTI. update thread, MORE WHEELS PG38
OK interior spraying done!
It looks so much better after looking at old pics
OLD:

NEW

The interior needs a good clean now, there's a lot of traces of grease from the seals everywhere (you can see spots of it in the first pic).
Next on the list of things to do after I stop spending money on my camera:
Black interior light surround
Black sunvisors
Black motion sensor (not sure how yet)
Get the Cups refurbed
Sand the rocker cover down and add another layer, then put the engine bay back together
Thoughts welcome

Re: Tim's GTI. update thread, MORE WHEELS PG38
Oh and I've also got the get myself a new ballast and get a new bulb sent out, as my drivers side combo decide to explode.
Here's the ballast wire:

The bulb is the same, it's getting returned to HIDs4U and replaced though.
Weird thing is the ballast still tries to ignite, I unwillingly tried another bulb in it, it flashes but doesn't work.
So if anyone has a spare ballast let me know!

Looks Great Tim
Top Job
I think you just need a full black leather interior now and it would look amazing! Black Seats with the leather door cars too.
Is this something your going to consider?
Ben,

Cheers guys!
Just gunna get the stuff done on my previous list and enjoy the car for a bit before I look at selling it before it loses too much value.
Probably not mate, I'm only a fan of leather if it's seriously good quality= serious money. And I'm done with spending fat wads on this car, I'll be saving it for my camera lens collection and my next project I think!6N2 GTI 00 wrote: I think you just need a full black leather interior now and it would look amazing! Love it mate, just needs a good wipe over to get ride of the little marks and the finger run lines down the roof
Love your belts ha, have you had a look at another car yet? You need to keep this for another 8 months and I reckon we could do a deal ha! Keep it in the scene and all that! Have you had any luck sourcing the cabrio visors yet?
Door seals look really good though, can't wait to see some more updates on this car

Cheers mate! Ah not good.
I'm down there from about half 5 to set up man. What time you coming down?
Cheers Daz, nah not been looking yet, gotta get uni out of the way first. I searched for them a few months ago and lost a few bids on a pair, haven't had the spare funds to do so recently though!

Fair play dude, same here really need to get the first year out of the way. I'm going to get this first year out of the way too, move home and use some of the loan to get the GTi (really want a black 6n2 5 door GTi, i'll do most of the same as you've done on this so would make sense nearer the time to see what situation you're in
) and get a local job to pay for it. Hopefully you can find something then, i've always said I want first refusal ha!
Saw a couple of pairs on ebay the other day for the visors, and there are looooaaadddsss of cabrio's breaking, might be worth sending over a PM and then seeing how much they want. You going to go for the loop interior light too?

I should have some cash after christmas so I'll be sure to be on look out, cheers for the heads up.
Yeh I'll be getting the lupo interior light surround for sure.
Don't worry we'll sure to be having words! I've got a mate who's interested in it also, but I'll address all of that later to the time

Interior looks good Tim
I've a complete 2nd hand passenger side headlight. Plus I have 2 brand new Audi a4 Hella ballasts (same type as Polo, but with different size rubber boot on the cable). I haven't tested any of them, because that would mean taking the front bumper off my car. I'm in Dublin so that's another problem. But if you're stuck let me know, and we'll see if we can work something out
