air filtersss
i bought an air filter for a quid from halfords but it came with a pipe and a few jubilee clips, i dont really know how it fits etc. the picture should be below any ideas will be awesome thanks

Re: air filtersss
you need a 90 degree bend pipe from the throttle body to the filter, you'll have to measure both the throttle body diameter and the filter diamter for the correct size bend pipe. you'll also need one of these for the breather http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/products/ ... e=GREB1.08
Re: air filtersss
hmmm sounds complicated, so it doesnt just replace where the air filter goes or owt ?
Re: air filtersss
yes it replaces the exsisting panel filter which you already have, its fairly straight forward mate. theres a guide how to fit it in the DIY guides section.
Re: air filtersss
It's like a very simple puzzle and you can't get it wrong!
Just take all teh screws out of the standard air box and your air filter goes on top of the throttle body. You'll need the 90 degree bend or it'll look like a chimney! If you have a 6n 1.4CL the TB should measure 60mm I think and a 16v is 65mm. However, I haven't measured either for quite some time so can't remember so measure it yourself to be certain.
It also looks universal and quite massive judging by that picture. I think your MPG will shoot through the roof like mine did with a unversal induction kit.

Here's what your engine will roughly look like:

remove the air box (box that the ratchet is sat on) and connecting pipes.
You then expose the throttle body which looks like this:

You get a 90 degree pipe like this:

this pipe has to fit the diameter of your throttle body on one end, and the diameter of your air filter on the other.
Use the hose to attach the throttle body and air filter together.
then get an air feed, something like this:

you can get them on eBay.
Fit this to the other end of your air filter, then run it to the front panel or side wing of your car.
You are then left with something a little like this (differenct car and engine, but you get the idea of the workflow):

Notice it goes throttle body>90 degree pipe>air filter>cold air feed> wing of car. All connected using jubliee clips
