Hi Guys,
Want to fit a BMC CDA filter to my git, need to add it to my insurance but they want to know how much HP it adds - anyone know how I can find this out?

BMC CDA details for insurance
Re: BMC CDA details for insurance
About 1 to 3 bhp mate. It's not performance enhancing so shouldn't really affect the insurance as the car will be of a simular power.

can I actually tell them it dosent enhance the performance or shall i just stick to telling him it added 5hp at most to be on the safe side?

It's entirely up to you to be honest. You wouldn't be lying if you told them it dosen't affect my cars performance?.It's just an alternative cold air setup.
I would just explain that to them.
I would just explain that to them.

Personally I would just say it doesn't enhance performance. It's a silly grey area, so you may as well save a bit of costnickpolo wrote:can I actually tell them it dosent enhance the performance or shall i just stick to telling him it added 5hp at most to be on the safe side?

Tell them you don't know, as you don't. Unless you RR'ed it before and after.
