Would do mate but I don't have anything to replace them with, as most stuff I take has to be replaced with something similar.

Everytime I see your progress thread your car just looks better and better!!
What's the deal with the GTI? Did you get it cheap and decide to break?
(Off-Topic, do you know if 6n2 spoiler's will fit 6n's?) lol if so, you wouldn't be interested in selling that spoiler?
Keep up the good work, can't wait to see when you have finished the interior :D

Cheers mate 8)

The deal with the GTi is this.

My mate was looking to buy a Mk5 Polo GTi (foleE from Club Polo) and we'd both seen this GTi parked up on this drive for ages with a cover on it. So he put a note through the door asking if she was interested in selling it, she called him back and turns out that the cambelt has snapped and the car is being taken away for scrap as part of the government scrappage scheme. I put a note through the door asking if should anything not go to plan that i'd like to buy it, anyway about 3 weeks passed and I got a voicemail from the woman telling me its going next monday (this monday coming). I text her asking if she could keep the mats and i'd buy them from her and she come back saying I could have them for free (YES! lol). As a thankyou I bought her a box of chocs and went round to drop them off to her when her husband pulled up in his car. We got chatting and I explained the situation and he said I could have anything off the car as long as it was replaced with something similar (gear stick for gear stick etc). So there I was yesterday breaking this GTi to pieces!

Probably sell the spoiler if I can get it off yep :)

Windscreen gets fitted today at 10, then i'm off to get the leather steering wheel out of that GTi.

Hey mate,

The screen is brilliant, looks so much better in real life and the slight green tint is pretty cool. Can't put the dash in as there isn't anything to replace it with sadly.

Did some more stripping today of the GTi, got the leather wheel off (finally!) and the cup holder. Hopefully come sunday i'll have the spoiler, CD changer loom and the handbrake. Can anyone else think of anything?

Pm me Alex.

Pics of the wheel after a clean, the airbag isn't clipped in. Flash has really ruined the darkness of the finish, the leather looks brand new! Pity I forgot to clean the badge up before I took the pics!
