Rotor arm removal

Post by tompolo »

Hey, I got my distributor cap off a while ago and replaced cos it was knackered and causing bad misfiring, but while the cap was off I noticed the rotor arm was fairly busted lookin too.

I have tried pulling the arm off, twisting it loose, and wd40'ing the hell out of it but it wont budge!!

Any advice on removing it? 'cos i think any more force and I reckon I'll wreck the whole distributor!

Any secret buttons or switches? or should i just force it? or can i cut it off without damaging the shaft inside it?

Cheers, tom

they can be a real pig to remove. Have you tried tapping the base with a small hammer very carefully?
