How low is perfect for a polo?

I mean, practicality wise?

i was thinking like 60/40? (allowing for road hump clearance, people in the back and subs in the boot.)

Also, how do you measure how low your car is?

I cant lower my car till i get a different insurer (directline ) so im just thinking of the future.
