cat problems......

when i rev my car and let off on its way back to idle you can hear wat sounds like peices of stuff bouncing around in the cat.....
this is a pretty loud and obviose rattle,
does anybody know a solution to this, getting the stuff out?
or do you think its time for a new cat?
there is definatly stuff in the cat no doubt obout that!

i have tryed tapping it and givving it a good rev....no change!

yep i would change the cat or get a de cat, funny you should post this as ive just had a de cat fitted today. car pulls much better now (although mine had a fat hole in!)

Ye sounds like you need a new cat, I had the exact same problem. I had a really bad rattle and when I got it de cat the guy who did it said it was the honey comb inside the cat that was all smashed to pieces and has been deposited throughout the exhaust. Need a whole new exhaust really but for now I got it de cat which cost me some pipe and some welding. Car pulls better and sounds a lot better!
