Do you think I could find a member on this site that could do a remap for me as it would be a lot cheaper? It seems really cheap I know but the full on remaps are about 270-400 pounds for an extra 30 or so BHP, which doesn't seem worth it?

I personally dont like the bluefin re-maps as I've known people who have had them and the clutch has gone.

I had my fully custom map done by paul at RS tuning in leeds, best thing I've ever spent money on, completely different car, only ever black smokes the tinyest little bit when it's in 3rd gear and you really boot it to full boost, I've gone from 105bhp to 140... and the clutch is fine since there are no torque spikes at all.

defiantly give him a call and ask for a price

mate even if you got 30 bhp its a noticeable jump plus its not only the speed factor but drive ability is greatly improved. i have to agree with the previous post get a full custom one so its proper and accurate to your car. i think i am correct in saying a bluefin map is just a generic map?

£10 per bhp. Can you get any better than that?! It's only worth shopping around if you can get a reliable remap from a trusted member.

what his saying is 200pound for a remap is a good price. if you dont want to spend money, buy a cheap resistor off ebay for 25 pound, it will give you more bhp and overfuel your engine.... but atleasts its cheap

So basically getting a resistor is a cheap option... but quite a few people say they are not good?

i had one for about a week before i got mine mapped.

Yes they do work

Yes they overfuel your engine ( thats not a good thing )

Yes there cheap so everyone buys them

Yes ( they work when they want to, so sometimes you ll have power next minit you wont. )

in otherwords if you want more reliable power get a remap

I probably will leave it then until I can properly afford to get the car professionally remapped. This was just a minor part of the modification of the car.... I am going to put a set of 17" RS8/A8 alloys on, lower the car by 30 mm, a non-extravagant body kit (just bumpers and side skirts), tint the windows and put a nice exhaust on it to give it a nicer look.... Any tips or ideas?

do the map first, will put the biggest smile on your face out of all them mods. it ll cost between 180 - 200 from most places. thats what i paid from more bhp.

That is everything I would like to do on top of a remap but I would like to get the aesthetics sorted first to be honest....
