Ok forge are playing me about now guys so that is no longer an option sorry forgetting anyones hopes up. Ok I got a uni one now but not sure bout fitting it tho as to any sensors. So question 1 are there any sensors?
Now it's not a very big one so was wondering would it pay to leave the side mount on too this would be easy to fit as well then. I have a hybrid going on so it will be worked hard. So what you guys think.

Damn forge lol,
After I had a bit of a poke at mine when I had my bumper off I couldn't see any sensors around the cooler it's self.
There is a sensor somwhere on the charge side as i've got a data monitor and when you boot it you can see the temp go up, but i reckon this is somewhere near the intake manifold so you don't need to worry about that.
With regards to running them both personally I wouldn't bother as I reckon there would be too much pressure loss due to the length of all the piping you'll need. With the new one being front mounted it will be so much more efficient than the side one you may as well ditch the side one imo.
On mine i'm looking at removing the fog light and fog light mount and fabricating a cold air intake the same size to force some cold air into to it. I've also been looking at a water spray kit as well

Re: Let's talk intercoolers
you do have a sensor in your intercooler aka map sensor i believe. on a pd100 there 2.5bar and on a pd130 there 3 bar. however im pretty sure u can drill them into the new intercooler. thats what people have done with the forge ones, as for piping it wouldnt be that hard to use steel pipes and sillicone ones to join the cooler up, once one person has done it then we ll be able to know which pipes we need to buy. i think if you take the standard pipes off and construct a similiar design and then add extensions for the front mount it would prbly work.

Thought I'd dig up this thread rather than start a new one.
Don't Forge do a 9n3 GTI FMIC? I don't think it'd take too much effort to fit...might have to modify the crash bar to fit, but shouldn't be too bad. The TDis and 1.8T use the same stock SMIC setup, so can't see this option being too hard.

Well I now have the seat one on the way I will try to do a diy the uni one was stupid. How ever any one want high power go for the seat not forge as I have spoken to Amd jabba and awsome gti say max power is 220 from the forge one. So I am little annoyed but I am still talking to forge to see if they could make me a slightly larger one cos there is a large space around it
