UPDATE:

New ARB bushes ordered should be here Tuesday

And now for the bad news! Car seems to have developed a shunt when pulling off. Based on what Ive read, this could be a failing transmission side engine mount (the one under the battery), so im gonna have it all off tomorrow and check what the bolts and mount are looking like. Its very odd I must say as its literally just happened out of the blue!

Anyone else with this problem?

Maybe a stupid question - What do you mean by 'shunt'

My whole car seems to vibrate when pulling off sometimes, still trying to work out what it could be

UPDATE:

Ordered a new shark fin aerial, as the signal on the current one isnt the greatest (i need a good signal so that my sat nav will pick up TMC signals), and the paint is all cracked on it :( Got one of these for the brothers Polo the other day, and it works surprisingly well!

Any pics? Interested of how the shark fin looks finished on the car as a whole :D

You feel a light thump near the front of the car. Its like a deep knock sound

Its worth checking the mount - its located underneath the battery tray. Battery off, remove the battery tray and just have a look to make sure there are no bolts missing or damage to the mount. Its happened on a few of the members on here now!

Right after many hours of work and drilling out and replacing sheared off mount bolts, the mount is all good again

However, the problem is that the rear wishbone bush has come detached and is wobbling about again. This will be the second time in under 6 months - this is becoming a joke now! grrrr

Spent 4 hours attempting the get the wishbone off, and its really not happening. Got all but one of the main bolts off - its so tight, even a meter pole with a solid grip wont undo it, so Ive had to put it all back together and will have to seek professional advice tomorrow. Most likely itll be an Oxy Acetylene job or a welding job to get the bolt off the car - its just insane!

Just had a 22mm nut welded onto it, and result - its finally undone!

In other news, a stone flicked up and has cracked the windscreen so more money :( However, it does mean that I can finally use my new rainsensor :)
