Josh's White 9N.. Problem solved... Power is back !! :D :D

Post by samways-polo »

Just bought my first car, a white 5door 2004 1.2 polo 9n,

Some Pictures below in the garage as it needed a good polish and some work was needed on the body :)

So far I have installed a new headunit, Alpine CDA 105ri looks really good as the lights match and sounds good considering its running on original speakers. Now fitted is a fin aerial.

There will be more to follow soon and will keep you upto date with what is going on

any advice or tips would be great guys :)

Hello mate,
A few good ideas for your 9n could be change the back rear lights :) (2006 ones), maybe a fin aerial, they look pretty cool :) some decent alloys and maybe colour code the side strips?

A very tempting price, But personally I wouldnt want to go for cheap suspension. Its one of the most important components on the car and you want it to be reliable and high quality otherwise it can start affecting other parts on the car (tyres etc)

Some people say they're good others say rubbish.
Do a search on the forum for "Coilovers" and you'll find a pretty lengthy debate on ebay coilovers!

I'm about to buy some AP coilovers because my stock suspension is nackered, wouldnt really want to settle for anything less

Yeah mate but i have gone off the idea of them coilovers now, dont want to take the risk, as you said one of most important components on the car, got a good mate who knows everything about polos and he said just a decent set of springs will do me fine, im only looking to lower between 35-45 anyway
hope your new coilovers are alright when you get them
