I always wonder why people buy a car and then never use it? surely when you realised you were not going to make use of it you would sell it, not store it until it was worth 1/4 of the price you originally paid!

People do use cars like this, mine had covered very low mileage and only 2500-3000 miles a year. When kept like this they sell for more than a quarter of the origional price mate trust me.
my point is why sit on something that is losing money everyday and never use it, 1000-1500 miles a year is, to me, what you would do in a zonda, not a polo gti. The odd cruise round in the summer just to flex your muscle so to speak, hardly works in a polo

I understand what you're saying but it depends on it's back ground.I agree that dosent quite work on a Polo GTI more Caterham territory etc, however i bought mine off a retired 65 year old teacher. She used it almost everyday as a daily to travel to relatives and the local shops. Some people really do cover seriously low mileage they don't all sit in a gargage gathering dust until the owner can be bothered to sell it haha.

Some people just dont drive much
see now im confused, why are people of at that time of life buying gti's? Have they no sense what so ever, if they plan on doing low mileage why not buy something easy on fuel and something that is cheap. What a strange thought process some people have, oh i need a car to go to the shops in, i know a polo, oh better make sure its the gti version.
i dont think he was that old. Was in his 60s when he died of a heart attack or a stroke from what Ive heard. Its often the car salespeople that say ye you need this car, and they are like hey why not lol
