Prising off my 'POLO'

Post by pilot001 »

Hiya all,

I've seen a few Polos that have removed the polo lettering from the top left hand part of the boot door and spread the letters out below the VW badge and above the boot handle. I just thought this looked very cool and wanted to give it a try myself.....

Can anyone tell me the best way to get the letters off without damaging them or the paintwork. Once they're off, what's the best way to re-apply them? Many thanks

hello welcome to the forum btw! :P

first of all use a hairdryer to heat up the badge.
then use a bit of dental floss and "saw" and gradually pulling the badge off.
then use white spirit to remove the excess left on the bodywork.
polish off with T cut or similar and it should be ok.

if u take your time, it should be a trouble free mod.

hope this helps

Thanks in advance
