Re: Remote central locking. How easy to fit?
I just fitted remote to my central locking...
I can highly recommend the Cobra 1046. It can be ordered as a model specifictly med for the mk 3 Golf. And therefore also all other models using the same vacuum powered central locking.
http://www.cobravehiclesecurity.co.uk/p ... -1046.aspx
The only thing needed to fit it is to remove the plug from the vacuum pump and plug the remote module in between and connect 2 wires (that are color coded as in the car) to the indicators behind the taillights.
Check out the installation manual her: http://www.stylingshop.dk/cgi-bin/uploa ... _Golf3.pdf

This system could be fitted as an option when buying the car from the dealer.
AND it the car is fitted with electric windows with comfortmodule this system cam also open and close the windows when locking and unlocking.

I'll be fitting an rclick kit to the Polo shortly, are the red connectors supplied with the kit ok or do I need to get some better quality ones? I don't really want to have to leave the car in pieces while I get more bits!

Re: Remote central locking. How easy to fit?
i used a set of the red connectors supplied recently and had no problems
Re: Remote central locking. How easy to fit?
I found I didn't have enough of them. Also there not straight push on clips. I had to make a slice in the insulation of the wires to get a contact
